CDL ASSISTNCE PROGRAM
Arrowhead Line/Roberts Ditching is now offering a CDL assistance program for any employee interested in obtaining their CDL. As many of you are aware, it is very expensive and time consuming to get your CDL on your own. We feel it will be beneficial to our employees and the company to assist you in obtaining this goal. In order for you to get a CDL these days participants are required to go through Entry Level Driver Training. This consists of a Theory portion and a Behind the Wheel portion. Our program will be as follows:

This will be a 10 week program and will cost the employee $1000. Employee can pay up front or money can be withheld $100 at a time out of per diem pay.

The first 5 weeks will be the employee obtaining his Commercial Learners Permit and completing the Theory portion of the Entry Level Driver Training online at your own expense, and on your own time. You can complete this course online at ELDT.com for $25. Tests taken on the computer at the DMV must be scheduled for the latest time, which is 4PM. We will allow you to leave early, if need be. This will still allow you to work your 8 and receive perdiem. You MUST have your permit in hand to start the next stage of the program

The last 5 weeks will be Behind the Wheel training and you will complete this part at our shop in Canyon 1 day a week for 5 weeks with a trainer. You will receive an 8 hr paid day and Arrowhead Line will receive perdiem. Do not be late, as standard company policy regarding perdiem still applies.

Once an employee completes the program he/she can schedule their skills test with the DMV and get their CDL. All company sponsored driving tests will be taken in Amarillo, so schedule accordingly on dates given by trainer. Company will pay employee for the first two driving tests. If neither of those are passed the company will provide a vehicle for testing but you will not be paid.

After the employee obtains their CDL and remains employed with Arrowhead Line or Roberts Ditching for 1 year their $1000 will be reimbursed.
